A Guardian investigation into private colleges has uncovered allegations of lax admissions policies, chaotic timetabling and violence in the classroom at Britain's largest chain of for-profit colleges, the London School of Business and Finance (LSBF). A former lecturer with the group alleges that the fast growth of the company's student body brought in tuition fees, but standards were allowed to slip. LSBF denies these allegations.
