EU exceeds research funding target for SMEs - 25.10.2012

The European Commission today announced it has exceeded the target on research funding for Small- and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs). SMEs have received 16.3% (€2.9 billion) of the Cooperation Programme budget of €18.6 billion spent so far under the Seventh Framework Programme (FP7). This surpasses the 15% goal set by the European Parliament and Council of Ministers at the beginning of FP7.  (...)
